DETROIT — Jaguar is remembering more than 6,000 I-Pace electrical SUVs in the U.S. due to the threat of the high-voltage battery capturing fire, and it’s informing owners to park them outdoors.
The recall is the mostcurrent in a series of electrical lorry battery remembers since of the possible for fires.
Documents published Wednesday by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration state the recall covers all of the SUVs from the 2019 through 2024 design years.
In an e-mail, Jaguar stated consumers needto park away from structures till recall repairwork haveactually been finished, and where possible, they needto charge outdoors. Owners with concerns needto contact a dealership if they have any issues, the business stated.
The files state the car batteries were made by LG Energy Solution, which is under examination by the NHTSA after 5 carmanufacturers released remembers due to possible flaws that might cause fires or stalling.
