BEIJING — China’s federalgovernment on Friday declined as “far-fetched and lessthanprofessional” a report by a U.S. security company that blamed Chinese-linked hackers for attacks on hundreds of public firms, schools and other targets around the world.

A foreign ministry representative duplicated allegations that Washington brings out hacking attacks and grumbled the cybersecurity market seldom reports on them.
