LAS VEGAS — A union representing hospitality employees states it has reached a tentative arrangement with 6 more hotel-casinos in downtown Las Vegas and called off a strike duedate for another.
The contracts prevented a Monday earlymorning walkout as the city kicks off Super Bowl week.
The Culinary Workers Union revealed Saturday that it had reached a tentative five-year agreement with the Golden Nugget, Binion’s, Four Queens, Fremont and Main Street that covers about 1,000 employees.
The union reached a tentative contract Sunday with Downtown Grand, which represents about 200 employees.
The cooking and an associated bartenders union are being offered more time to reach an arrangement with Virgin Las Vegas, an off-Strip resort.
