COPENHAGEN, Denmark — Prince Joachim of Denmark is moving to the United States to take up the post of defense market attache at the Danish embassy in Washington beginning in September, the Danish defense ministry stated on Friday.

“I am happy that I still get the chance to represent Denmark globally in the location of security and defence” the 53-year-old prince stated in a declaration. “Transatlantic cooperation is a high-priority location, and I am honored that they haveactually discovered me certified for the job.”

Prince Joachim is the moreyouthful boy of Queen Margrethe II, and is the 6th in the line of succession
