COPENHAGEN, Denmark — Finland’s nationwide provider Finnair stated Thursday that it will resume flights to Estonia’s 2nd biggest city in June after 2 of its aircrafts were avoided from landing in Tartu last month duetothefactthat of GPS disturbances.
The cause of the GPS disturbance that required the 2 flights to return to Helsinki on April 25 and April 26 was not instantly understood. Estonian authorities blamed the jamming in the area on Russia.
Finnair stated Tartu Airport now utilizes radio signals sentout from ground stations rather of GPS signals to direct aircraft landings.
