France and Qatar provided immediate humanitarian help to Lebanon on Tuesday, France’s foreign minister stated, as Paris presses for wider humanitarian efforts and a ceasefire in the nation.

“If we wear’t do anything, then Lebanon tomorrow might looklike what Syria has endupbeing,” Jean-Noel Barrot informed legislators in parliament.

“[That is], a center of instability for smuggling, terrorism and a point of departure for a big migration of civilians lookingfor sanctuary in Europe.”

French and Qatari military aircrafts provided some 27 metric tonnes of medications and requirements, consistingof blankets and health packages, diplomatic sources stated, speaking on condition of privacy.
