ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico produced more than 53,000 lots of its most popular crop throughout the last growing season, significance more chile peppers discovered their method into salsas and onto supper plates than the previous year.

State and federal farming authorities rolled out the newest numbers this week as New Mexico’s guv signed legislation that developed the sweet odor of green chile roasting in the fall as the state’s authorities fragrance.
