LOS ANGELES — LOS ANGELES (AP) — Hollywood authors have voted practically all to authorize the agreement contract reached by their union leaders that ended a strike after almost 5 months, while stars stay in settlements to discover a method out of their own strike.
The Writers Guild of America revealed Monday that 99% of the 8,525 members who cast tallies voted to validate the offer.
The arrangement was commonly promoted as a win by leaders, and commonly applauded by members, with significant gains in payment, size of program personnels and control of synthetic intelligence in scripts. The outcome of the vote taken over the past week was neverever truly in doubt.
“Together we were able to achieve what lotsof stated was difficult just 6 months ago,” Meredith Stiehm, president of the WGA-East, stated in a declaration.
