NEW YORK — The start date for the $15 toll most motorists will be charged to getin Manhattan’s main company district will be June 30, transit authorities stated Friday.

Under the so-called blockage prices strategy, the $15 cost will use to most chauffeurs who getin Manhattan south of 60th Street throughout daytime hours. Tolls will be greater for bigger automobiles and lower for nighttime entries into the city as well as for bikes.

The program, which was authorized by the New York state Legislature in 2019, is expected to raise $1 billion per year to fund public transport for the city’s 4 million everyday riders.
