CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand — Many females who work at McMurdo Station, the primary United States researchstudy base in Antarctica, state the separated environment and macho culture haveactually permitted sexual harassment and attack to grow.
The National Science Foundation, which manages the U.S. Antarctic Program, released a report in 2022 in which 59% of ladies stated they’d experienced harassment or attack while on the ice.
