NEW YORK — Shares of Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. leapt Friday after previous President Donald Trump stated he won’t sell shares of the social media business.

“I puton’t wanna sell my shares. I wear’t requirement cash,” Trump stated while speaking to pressreporters at his golf club in Los Angeles.

Trump owns almost 115 million shares of the business, according to a current filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Based on Thursday’s closing rate of $16.08, Trump’s shares are worth roughly $1.85 billion.
