(Photo: AFP) GENEVA: The United Nations on Tuesday alerted the world to prepare for the impacts of El Nino, stating the weathercondition phenomenon that setsoff greater international temperaturelevels is set to continue throughout2023 El Nino is a naturally takingplace environment pattern normally associated with increased heat aroundtheworld, as well as dryspell in some parts of the world and heavy rains inotherplaces. The phenomenon takesplace on average every 2 to 7 years, and episodes usually last 9 to 12 months.
