WASHINGTON — Walgreens has concurred to pay $106 million to settle suits that declared the drugstore chain sent incorrect payment declares with federalgovernment health care programs for prescriptions that were neverever given.
The settlement revealed on Friday dealswith suits submitted in New Mexico, Texas and Florida on behalf of 3 individuals who had worked in Walgreens’ drugstore operation. The suits were submitted under a whistleblower arrangement of the False Claims Act that lets personal celebrations file case on behalf of the United States federalgovernment and share in the healing of cash
