When Ditza’s child called her on 7 October, Hamas addressed the phone. “They were yelling ‘It’s Hamas, it’s Hamas’,” another child, Neta Heiman Mina, informed the BBC. “My sis was frightened, she hung up. I didn’t think they hadactually taken her. I idea they had eliminated her.” Ditza Heiman is being held captive in Gaza. She was taken from Kibbutz Nir Oz when Hamas staged its fatal attack on Israel, eliminating 1,400 individuals and taking more than 240 captive. Neta states she was in touch with her mom in the earlymorning. Ditza was in her safe space and didn’t understand what was takingplace exterior. “I wear’t think she understood, or we understood, that the terrorists were at the kibbutz,” Neta stated. The last message she got from her mom was a coupleof minutes before 10: 00 regional time. After that she didn’t response her phone. Neta lateron spoke to one of her mom’s neighbours, who informed her that Ditza hadactually been calling for assistance. He went out to see what was takingplace and saw her being taken away by Hamas shooters. “
