Workplace mulls cloud leasing charge criteria

The Office of National Digital Economy and Society Committee (ONDE) is studying methods to identify standard leasing costs for state organisations to lease cloud services from personal cloud companies to assistin their digital change. A standard rate will be set for each classification of cloud services for lease from personal Thai or foreign cloud operators, as the Government Data Centre and Cloud (GDCC) cannot broaden its cloud ability rapidly enough to keep rate with high need from these state systems. According to the ONDE, the criteria will be a tool for state firms to choose to lease cloud services outdoors the GDCC. Private cloud operators would advantage from the relocation as it would be simpler to propose services to state firms with a affordable tariff in line with the standard.
