A male is dealingwith federal charges after apparently choking a Frontier Airlines flight attendant and shouting that a San Francisco-bound airplane was “going down” before threatening to kill all the travelers on board.
Trump Media stock is on a losing streak
Charles Angel Salva, 30, of Fremont, California, was charged with disturbance with flight team members and attendants, the Justice Department stated last week.
Salva was jailed Wednesday for the Sept. 9 event on a Frontier flight from John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana that was headed to San Francisco International Airport.
Shortly after launch, Salva apparently got his hand stuck in an overhead compartment while attempting to pull down an oxygen mask.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office of Central District of California stated he then supposedly tossed profanities at flight attendants and screamed, “We are all going to hell,” and “This plane is going down!”
“Salva then got at fellow travelers and ran towards the back of the aircraft when flight attendants attempted to limit him,” the Justice Department stated in a press release. “Salva supposedly then tried to choke a flight attendant, leaving 2 little marks on the victim’s neck.”
He then presumably “pushed another flight attendant and stated he was going to kill everyone.”
Passengers on the flight assisted limit Salva, however he broke out of the handcuffs and had to be limited onceagain, the DOJ stated. “During the event, Salva kicked one flight attendant roughly 6 times in the leg, triggering evident bruising and swelling, which needed medical attention,” authorities included. The airplane had to be diverted to Ontario International Airport since of the event.
Salva now dealswith a optimum sentence of 20 years in federal jail.
