Calling this fall a difficult and attempting season for much of the southeastern United States would be an understatement. Hurricanes Helene and Milton triggered numerous deaths, and lotsof more individuals lost their homes and tasks.
Some ConstructConnect group members were likewise impacted by these storms. While the business assisted its staffmembers, other group members were on the ground assisting next-doorneighbors.
Integrated Marketing Manager Brittani Phillips lives in Charleston, South Carolina. She understands how hazardous these storms can be. After Hurricane Helene hit the southeast, Phillips desired to assistance.
She signedupwith a group of regional individuals headed to North Carolina.
“It was combined efforts of numerous individuals here in Charleston—teachers, diningestablishment and company owners, churches—notably simply routine civilians, like me, who desired to aid,” Phillips remembered.
The group’s efforts grew when they reached western North Carolina, which was struck hard.
“While running our own operation we satisfied more individuals like us up there in western North Carolina and satisfied members of the United Cajun Navy, as well as other personal veteran pilots working like us, on our own accord, at our own danger, to rescue individuals deep in the storm damaged remote parts of the mountains to get them food, water, and materials,” Phillips stated.
They worked continuously to fill armedforce helicopters with the materials. They were for locations that still did not have power or water.
