Chocolate Cream Slice

This is a celebration showstopper, for sure. Easy to make ahead of time and to transportation it so sensational assoonas sliced, you’ll come back desiring more!



Ingredients

  • 2 x 250g loads Choc Ripple biscuits
  • 350g butter, divided
  • 175g milk chocolate melts
  • 10 Twirl double chocolate bars
  • 500g cream cheese
  • ¾ cup caster sugar
  • 3 tsp powdered gelatine, liquified in ¼ cup of boiling water
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 300mL cream, divided
  • 200g dark choc melts


Method

  • Place the Choc Ripple biscuits into a food processor and blitz into a fine crumb. Melt 250g butter and mix through the chocolate crumbs.
  • Grease and line a piece pan and enable some baking paper to overhang. Press the crumb mix uniformly into the base of the tin and flatten strongly. Chill in the refrigerator.
  • Meanwhile, location the milk chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl, along with 50g butter. Heat in 30-sec bursts, stirring in inbetween upuntil melted and integrated.
  • Spread the melted chocolate over the cooled base and then lay the Twirl chocolate bars over the leading, breaking into rows where required. Keep the remaining bars and pieces aside. Place the pan back into the refrigerator to chill.
  • Using an electrical mixer, beat the cream cheese and sugar till smooth. Fold in the gelatine mix, vanilla and 250mL cream.
  • Crumble the remaining Twirl through the cheesecake mix and fold to integrate, then put into the base and chill till set.
  • Lastly, location the dark chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl along with the staying 50g butter and 50mL cream.
  • Heat in 30-sec bursts, stirring in inbetween, upuntil melted and integrated.
  • Cool for 1 minutes, then put over the leading of the piece. Chill till set, then thoroughly eliminate from the tin utilizing the baking paper dealswith.
  • Using a hot knife, cut into pieces and serve.
  • Note: You can switch out any chocolate bar — simply thinkabout how it will appearance when sliced.
