Can you share the story behind how Maple from Canada came to life?

At the heart of Maple from Canada is the Québec Maple Syrup Producers (QMSP), an organisation that represents 13,500 producers who have been harvesting pure, high-quality maple syrup in Canada for generations. Maple from Canada was developed to represent these producers and share the story of pure Canadian maple syrup, highlighting the nutritional benefits, sustainable production, versatility in cooking and its rich, distinctive flavour, while inspiring new ways to enjoy maple in everyday recipes.

How does maple syrup (or maple-based products) support the body’s rhythm, energy levels or digestion compared to more conventional sweeteners?

Pure Canadian maple syrup is full of surprising benefits, offering a natural source of energy in everyday recipes. The natural ingredient is completely vegan, gluten-free, low-FODMAP, rich in essential vitamins and minerals and is free from artificial flavours, colours and preservatives. Pure maple syrup is the preferred natural sweetener, well-suited to all diets and lifestyles, making it a cleaner alternative to refined sugar.

How does Maple from Canada engage with sustainability, ethical sourcing or the broader ecological story of maple sap and forest harvesting?

QMSP are responsible for producing 72 per cent of the world’s pure maple syrup from 34 million maple trees in Québec’s biodiverse forests. Outside of the maple tapping season, the trees support wildlife and contribute to the health of the ecosystem, storing carbon dioxide and releasing as oxygen, to improve the air quality of the pristine maple forests. From tree to table, pure Canadian maple syrup is sustainably produced, following a generation-led process tapping maple from the trees.
