Campbell Addy provides immersive solo exhibit at 180 Studios

London style professionalphotographer and artist Campbell Addy, whose work hasactually been revealed in Dazed, i-D, Vogue and TIME, and showed in places consistingof Paris, New York and Oslo, will present a brandname brand-new, immersive solo exhibit at London’s 180 Studios this month.

Titled I ❤ Campbell, the program functions 36 initial pieces consistingof photography, paintings, a brand-new movie shot in Ghana and spatial style curated by prominent set designer Ibby Njoya. The exhibit hasactually been created as an immersive experience, including a soundscape by instrumentalist and manufacturer CKTRL that produces what is explained as a “world within love, grounded by nature.”

Addy’s work work special stories and genuine feelings in nature, with a focus on unique casting and under-represented dealswith. As he discusses, the program marks a minute of reflection in his eight-year profession, explaining it as an “exhibition of vulnerabilities” that speaks to the minutiae of his life that notify his imaginative practice yet haveactually fallen through the fractures throughout his profession.

I ❤ Campbell marks a turning point in Addy’s life and profession, at which he is reflective and questioning his function and instructions on the roadway ahead, with a desire to rediscover what had veryfirst stimulated his innovative interest.

“I feel like I lost the essence of who Campbell is over the last 4 years,” Addy states. “I puton’t believe it was excellent or bad, I simply believe that occurs to young artists who are plucked from obscurity and tossed into the deep end. I believe I took some time away to grow so that I might come back and do it all over onceagain – that’s how it feels.”
