The bulk of Dallas Cowboys fans are blaming Jerry Jones for the group’s 1-2 start to the season. The group owner is ready to take it.

Jones stated it is “very reasonable” to blame him for the Cowboys’ sluggish start after 78% of fans in a survey carriedout by WFAA-TV in Dallas stated they are doing simply that.

“It’s well understood that no choice is eventually made here for what I either have gavein [to] or authorized it,” Jones stated when asked about the survey on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday. “That’s really reasonable. How might you believe otherwise, whether it be who’s out there training, whether it be who’s out there playing, whether it be the arena you’re walking into? Whatever it is here, that’s the method it is.

“Now, let me simply state this. Do I have a substantial quantity of input in making those choices? When they’ve done their research, they’re extremely prominent input to me, and we’ve got a lot of individuals in the Dallas Cowboys that haveactually done their input.”

Jones, who has doubled as the Cowboys’ basic supervisor because he purchased the franchise in 1989, was commonly slammed for how he handled Dallas over the offseason following the group’s blowout upset loss at home to the Green Bay Packers in the wild card round of the playoffs.

Jones decided to keep head coach Mike McCarthy, however not extend him. He stated early on in the offseason that the Cowboys were “all in” for 2024, however they didn’t make any significant acquisitions bymeansof totallyfree firm or trade. Instead, Dallas made low-investment additions at running back after letting starter Tony Pollard stroll, finalizing Ezekiel Elliott and Dalvin Cook. They likewise waited upuntil the last weeks before the season started to extend large receiver CeeDee Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott.

Jones protected his technique to last offseason when he was asked if he misjudged any location on the lineup.

“I like where we are at all positions,” Jones stated.

However, those moves, or absence thereof, have triggered the Cowboys to rank mainly towards the bottom of the league in numerous statistics. While they’re ninth in lawns (343.3 per videogame) and 6th in scoring (25.7 points per videogame), they rank 30th in hurrying (73.7 backyards per videogame) and 29th in lawns per bring (3.6).

Dallas’ bad run videogame is just part of the factor why the Cowboys had to play catch-up in their home losses to the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens over the last 2 weeks. Dallas’s defense is 28th in lawns permitted (372.7 per videogame) and 30th in scoring (29.7 per videogame). And those numbers consistof the Cowboys’ Week 1 win when they enabled 230 backyards and 17 points versus the Cleveland Browns.

Jones confessed that the group is “absolutely not” pleased through the veryfirst 3 weeks. But Jones revealed optimism that things will turn around in Dallas, pointingout the stat that no group had more wins than the Cowboys in the previous 3 seasons than the two-time protecting Super Bowl champ Kansas City Chiefs.

“You will neverever have a videogame out there that you’re completely pleased, that you’ve got it all covered,” Jones stated. “There’s constantly a lot to work on. We have a lot to work on to get muchbetter, however we’ve got some great gamers now, and they can play muchbetter than we’ve been playing.”

Regardless of how the season goes, though, Jones is ready to accept whatever blame is tossed  to him by the fans.

“I guess I got baptized when I veryfirst came to Dallas and purchased the Cowboys and we won one football videogame,” Jones stated. “We had made modifications, altered out the just coach for 29 years [Tom Landry], and we got substantial criticism and the kind that would make what you’re seeing now kid’s play.

“I’m conscious that you can have a lot of criticism. I was born of that here with the Cowboys. You can have a lot of criticism, and you can end up trolling those prizes high. And that’s what this is about.”
