Jim Harbaugh anticipates Michigan will have record number of gamers prepared in 2024

Jim Harbaugh is no completestranger to making headings.

Just last week, reports appeared that Michigan’s head coach will mostlikely be suspended for the veryfirst 4 videogames of the 2023 college football season as part of a workedout penalty with the NCAA for making incorrect declarations to detectives.

That news came ahead of Big Ten media days, where Harbaugh provided a quote that set social media ablaze, calling Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy a “once-in-a-generational type of quarterback.”

Harbaugh is when onceagain back in the media cycle this week, thanks to a quote he had when speaking to FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman.

When talkingabout whether this year’s Michigan group is gifted adequate to win a nationwide champion, Harbaugh had the following to state:

“I think we’ll have 20 people chose (in the next NFL Draft),” Harbaugh told Feldman. “I bet we break that (draft) record. (Georgia) had 15 that year.”

Georgia does undoubtedly hold the record for the most gamers prepared consideringthat the NFL Draft moved to 7 rounds in1994 Before that, the University of Texas held the record, as the Longhorns had 17 gamers chosen back in 1984.

Harbaugh went on to reference numerous gamers who he thinks might be prepared next year, which consistedof Trevor Keegan, Drake Nugent, Zach Zinter, Trente Jones, Karsen Barnhart, Myles Hinton, LaDarius Henderson, Blake Corum, Donovan Edwards, AJ Barner, and of course, McCarthy.

After back-to-back looks in the College Football Playoff, both of which resulted in losses in the semifinal round, Harbaugh and the Wolverines will be looking to get over that bulge and provide Michigan its veryfirst nationwide title consideringthat 1997.

The group getsin the 2023 project with a “championship or bust” mindset, which Corum shared with FOX Sports’ Michael Cohen in the following story.

“I have high requirements, so yeah, it’s win or bust,” Corum stated. “I think the men understand that, however we wear’t have to state anything. We understand what it is. Talk is low-cost.”
