NFL Week 14 top plays: Baker Mayfield in at QB for Rams on TNF

Week 14 of the NFL season kicked off with Baker Mayfield and the Los Angeles Rams pulling off an extraordinary come-from-behind win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Night Football.

Here are the highlights!

Los Angeles Rams 17, Las Vegas Raiders 16

Starting off with a bang

Derek Carr & Co. set the tone early in this one, as he connected up with Davante Adams for a 32-yard pickup to cross midfield.

L.V. takes the lead

Josh Jacobs kicked off the scoring with a brief scuttle on Las Vegas’ opening drive to put the roadway group up 7-0.

Not so quick

Then, the Raiders got the ball back right away after the Rams went three-and-out on their veryfirst drive.

Make method for Mayfield 

Just like that, John Wolford was out and Mayfield examined in at QB.

The 2018 No. 1 total choice was launched after just 5 months with Carolina and declared by L.A. on waivers Tuesday. L.A. was when onceagain without starter Matthew Stafford, who was positioned on IR this past weekend with a neck injury.

Making a splash

Mayfield’s initially conclusion as a Ram was a 21-yard strike to Van Jefferson to get into Raiders area.

The drive ended with a field objective to close the space alittle, 10-3, as the veryfirst quarter came to a close.

The Raiders included another field objective to extend their lead to 13-3 early in the 2nd quarter.

On the Rams’ occurring drive, Mayfield went to work, moving the house group downfield. First, he linked with Tutu Atwell on what turned into a 22-yard pickup. Then, he accounted for another 22-yard gain, this time with Ben Skowronek.

Bump in the roadway

The Rams’ drive ended there after Cam Akers fumbled in the red zone on the next play. 

The Raiders didn’t waste any time capitalizing on the turnover, as Carr linked with Adams on a 35-yard strike to put L.V. in scoring variety.

Not how L.V. drew it up

The Raiders’ drive ended toosoon, though, as Carr was selected off in the end zone. 

It stayed a 10-point videogame headed into the break.

Closing time

The Raiders included another field objective to extend their lead, 16-3, early in the 4th quarter.

The Rams then pulled within 6 points with a hurrying rating late in the last frame.

Fourth-quarter rise

After L.V. went three-and-out late in the videogame, L.A. got the ball back with 1: 45 to play. Mayfield discovered Skowronek on a 32-yard bomb to put the Rams in scoring position priorto surging the ball with 14 seconds left to stop the clock.

Coming up huge!

Mayfield came up huge when it mattered many, tossing a 23-yard goal to Jefferson to tie the videogame with simply seconds to extra. The Rams went on to seal the win, 17-16, after kicking the additional point.
