White Sox’s Liam Hendriks states he’s in remission from lymphoma

Hendriks revealed Thursday on Instagram that he is cancer-free. He published numerous videos and images recording his treatment with this caption: “How It Started VS How It’s Going…. REMISSION. It’s authorities. I’m cancer totallyfree.”

The Major League Baseball Players Association reacted: “We couldn’t be better for you @hendriks_31.” And Major League Baseball composed, “Tremendous news! So delighted for you, Liam.”

Hendriks revealed his medicaldiagnosis in January and finished his last round of chemotherapy 2 weeks back.

A three-time All-Star, Hendriks was 3rd in the majors with 37 conserves and made his 3rd All-Star group last season. The Australian led the AL with a career-high 38 conserves in 2021, after leaving Oakland to indication a $54 million, three-year agreement with the White Sox.

Hendriks has 115 conserves and a 3.81 ERA over 12 seasons with Minnesota, Toronto, Kansas City, Oakland and Chicago.
