Zion Williamson ratings 27 points, Pelicans beat West-leading Timberwolves, 117-106

Zion Williamson scored 27 points and the New Orleans Pelicans kept rolling with a 117-106 triumph over the West-leading Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.

CJ McCollum included 24 points and Brandon Ingram had19 The Pelicans pulled away in the 2nd half for their 4th straight triumph and ninth in 12 videogames.

On the 2nd night of a back-to-back after pounding Brooklyn 112-85, a videogame that enabled Williamson and Ingram to both play under 30 minutes, New Orleans went on the roadway and shot 55.6% from the field. Williamson and Ingram integrated to shoot 18 of 26.

Anthony Edwards scored 35 points for Minnesota, and Karl-Anthony Towns had22 Minnesota dropped to 14-2 at home and lost successive videogames for the veryfirst time this season. The Timberwolves were the last group in the NBA to lose 2 in a row.

The Timberwolves shot simply 38.7% through 3 quarters. They completed with 13 turnovers, leading to 16 points for the Pelicans.

New Orleans utilized a 25-9 run late in the veryfirst half to take manage and extended the lead to 24 midway through the 3rd quarter.

A night after grumbling about Williamson not getting a nasty called on a shot effort, Pelicans coach Willie Green got a technical nasty and ran almost the length of the court after a drive by Williamson. There was no charge called and Minnesota got the ball as authorities ruled it went off Williamson’s leg.
