Rocket Lab will launch an Earth-observing radar satellite for the business Capella Space early Sunday earlymorning (July 30), and you can watch the action live.
An Electron rocket bring one of Capella Space’s “Acadia” satellites is arranged to lift off from Rocket Lab’s New Zealand website Sunday throughout a two-hour window that opens at 3 a.m. EDT (0700 GMT; 7 p.m. regional New Zealand time).

Sunday earlymorning’s launch will be Rocket Lab’s 8th of 2023 and the business’s 40th total. All of these objectives haveactually included Electron, a 59-foot-tall (18 meters) rocket created to offer little satellites devoted trips to orbit (and beyond; an Electron released the CAPSTONE moon objective in June 2022).
Rocket Lab calls the coming objective “We Love the Nightlife,” an evident referral to the capability of Capella Space’s artificial aperture radar (SAR) satellites to capture images when and where the sun doesn’t shine.
