Gina Carano ranted about Disney on social media Thursday after the business stated that she was fired duetothefactthat she “grotesquely trivialized the Holocaust” in a movement to have her wrongful termination claim dismissed.
“Disney has validated what hasactually been understood all along, they will fire you if you state anything they disagree with, even if they have to MISREPRESENT, MALIGN, and MISCHARACTERIZE you to do it,” Carano composed in a Thursday post on X, previously understood as Twitter.
Carano was ended from the Star Wars series in February 2021, after she magnified a social media post that compared being Republican in the U.S. to being Jewish throughout Nazi Germany. This came after months of progressively combative social media posts from the UFC fighter-turned starlet advancing far right political views that consistedof vaccine and election denialism.
In February of this year, more than 3 years after being fired, Carano submitted her suit implicating Disney of wrongful termination and sex discrimination.
Disney moved to dismiss the suit on Wednesday, describing that she “grotesquely trivialized the Holocaust as similar to sharp political disputes” and concluded that her termination resulted after previous CEO Bob Chapek chose “Carano’s views ‘didn’t lineup with Company worths,’ including its ‘values of regard, worths of decency, worths of stability, and worths of addition.’”
