Feb. 13 (UPI) — The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum and Dancing with the Stars host Alfonso Ribeiro shared his final photo with the late actor James Van Der Beek Thursday.
Van Der Beek, who was well-known for starring in Dawson’s Creek, died following a battle with colorectal cancer, his family confirmed Wednesday. He was 48.
Ribeiro shared an image of himself embracing Van Der Beek, who was in a hospital bed.
Van Der Beek’s wife, Kimberly, took the photograph, Ribeiro stated.
“My last moment was making him laugh one last time,” he wrote in the caption. “I really miss him already.”
Ribeiro earlier posted an image with Van Der Beek following a meal.
“I’m so broken right now with the passing of my friend,” he captioned the image. “He was my true friend, brother and life guide. I was with him through this horrible journey to beat cancer.
