This rooster actually ruffled some plumes.
Neighbors in the Hamptons haveactually been duking it out in a wild, months-long fight over a loud rooster — with one side squawking that the bird continuously wakes him and the other reporting “harassment” to policeofficers.
The fowl play — which is now unfolding in a regional court case — started last May in East Hampton after Marc Auerbach, 53, got fed up with loud pre-dawn crowing by next-doorneighbor Efrain Mayorga’s animal rooster, Brownie.
Auerbach griped to the town that the feathered loudmouth begins its “awful animal yell” at around 4: 45 a.m. — then continues off and on till 8 a.m. in the rural location, according to court files.
“Excuse my language, however it’s f–king ludicrous,” Auerbach, 53, informed The Post. “I had to go to a medicalprofessional and take sleeping tablets to offer with it.”
Auerbach stated he lost a $1,750-per month leasing renter due to the sound and that his kids no longer desire to stay with him duetothefactthat they lose sleep, according to court documents.
He consistently grumbled to the town about the cock-a-doodle disruption, penning lots of logs with the times and dates of each irritating cluckfest.
“[It’s] early earlymorning sound torment,” Auerbach composed in a letter to a town authorities. “We are at our wit’s end.”
“There is a basic repair — eliminate the damn rooster from the home,” he crowed.
The problems resulted in a months-long town examination and the bird’s owner being hit with a uncommon sound problem offense, authorities stated,
