Masvingo’s Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Ezra Chadzamira, is at the centre of a legal fight for taking a widow’s land. The residentialorcommercialproperty, owned by Farai Mazenge Mutsetse, hasactually been the subject of contention after the minister presumably took control of the land and started building a school.

According to court files submitted by Mutsetse last month, crucial records relating to the home have inexplicably vanished from files kept by the Masvingo City Council. The just staying file is a home strategy, leaving Mutsetse to rely on her individual copies of the documents.

Mutsetse, represented by the law company Dube Banda Nzarayapenga, hasactually implicated both the minister and Masvingo City Council of conspiring to strip her of her home rights.
