A brand-new water waterfountain in the Austrian city of Vienna hasactually been explained as the ugliest in Europe, potentially the world, inspiteof costing 1.8 million euros ($2 million).
Created by the avantgarde Viennese art group Gelitin, the Austrian capital’s mostrecent water waterfountain was commissioned by regional authorities to honor 150 years of Vienna’s contemporary water system which supplied the city with fresh water from streams in the green forests of the Alps and assisted eliminate pesters like cholera. The brand-new landmark’s style obviously represents the “communal duty for water” and while it did win over the jury that chosen Gelitin as the winner, it hasn’t done so well with the basic public, particularly thinkingabout its huge cost, $2 million.
