Aug. 23 (UPI) — North Korea stoppedworking Thursday to launch a spy satellite into area, its 2nd effort to launch the reconnaissance orbital inthemiddleof global condemnation.

A Chollima-1 rocket with the Malligyong-1 reconnaissance satellite payload released at dawn Thursday from the Sohae Satellite Launching Ground in North Pyongang Province’s Cholsan County, which is situated about 115 miles northwest of Pyongyang.

But the North’s aerospace firm stated it stoppedworking “due to an mistake in the emergencysituation blasting system throughout the third-stage flight,” according to state-run Korean Central News Agency

The cause of the failure will be evaluated by the firm, with a 3rd launch of the satellite to be held in October, KCNA stated.

North Korea formerly tried to launch the spy satellite into area aboard its brand-new Chollima-1 rocket on May 31, however it sprinkled down into the Yellow Sea. Pyongyang blamed the stoppedworking flight on “abnormal beginning of the second-stage engine.”
