FTX creator Sam Bankman-Fried has a right to shape the story around him, his legalrepresentatives argued throughout a court hearing last month. The Federal District Court in Manhattan withdrawed Bankman-Fried’s bail and sentout him to prison in August after choosing he was interfering with trial witnesses, in part by sendingout files to the media. Prosecutors argued that Bankman-Fried sentout journal excerpts composed by Caroline Ellison, a secret witness and executive within the FTX empire whom he when dated, to pressreporters in an effort to frighten her by casting her in a unfavorable light.
