Butterfingers have always been my favorite candy bar. I even get a little defensive anytime someone tries to besmirch them in front of me. Oh, it gets stuck in your teeth? Grow up! So does popcorn, and I don’t see anyone hating on popcorn!
The great thing about a Butterfinger is that its taste is incredibly unique. Sure, it’s kinda like toffee and kinda like peanut butter with some milk chocolate thrown in there—but it also has a flavor that’s very much its own. Going trick or treating on Halloween as a child was a mildly nerve-wracking experience because all I wanted were those fun-sized Butterfingers. Fruit-flavored candy went to my brother, and anything with nuts was set aside for my parents.
So nobody could be more excited than me to discover Butterfinger’s newest innovation.
What is the new Butterfinger flavor?
It’s marshmallow, baby! Building on the success of its latest limited edition flavor, Salted Caramel, the candy bar brand is going big with Marshmallow Butterfingers—just in time for Halloween.
If you didn’t already know, I’m also very much a marshmallow fan. I’ve written about how to hack the Dairy Queen menu to make my favorite marshmallow-flavored treat, so you could even call me a marshmallow connoisseur. Which is why I was extremely dubious of this new flavor when I first heard about it.
