Feb. 23 (UPI) — Paramount+ launched the trailer for Season 5 of Star Trek: Discovery on Friday. The last season premieres April 4.
The streaming service revealed Season 5 would be the last season in March. They revealed the April best in February.
Discovery began as a prequel to the 1966 Star Trek series. Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) increased from mutinous veryfirst officer to Captain of the Discovery, after jumping 1000 years into the future.
The trailer reveals the team “on a search for one of the biggest powers ever understood” that “could be unsafe in the incorrect hands.” The team prepares for their last objective with Burnham calling them her household.
Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, Wilson Cruz, David Ajala, Blu del Barrio and Callum Keith Rennie likewise star. Elias Toufexis and Eve Harlow repeat as visitor stars.
There will be 10 episodes of Season 5. New episodes will best Thursdays.
