Washington Post selects William Lewis as CEO; to decrease headcount by 10%

(Reuters) -William Lewis, the previous Dow Jones chief executive and publisher of The Wall Street Journal hasactually been called chief executive and publisher of The Washington Post, the Post stated on Saturday.

The Washington Post stated that it is forecasted to end the year taking a $100 million loss. The publisher included that executives are offering buyouts throughout the business in an effort to decrease its head count by about 10 percent, the newsroom is anticipated to diminish to about 940 reporters.
