For the veryfirst time in years, the College Football Playoff committee was dealtwith with a hard choice for the four-team playoff. And Florida State has every right to be furious about the groups the committee landed on.
Despite going unbeaten and winning the ACC title, Florida State was dropped to No. 5 on the last CFP rankings, making them the veryfirst unbeaten group from a Power 5 conference to missouton out on the playoff.
Instead, Alabama (12-1) leapt FSU after beating then-top-ranked Georgia in the SEC title videogame. When that choice was revealed, Florida State head coach Mike Norvell and his gamers were in noticeable shock.
