A animal alligator was saved in southeastern Pennsylvania after landscapers working near a creek in Exeter Township found it, authorities stated.
The Animal Rescue League of Berks County (ARL) informed USA TODAY that they veryfirst discovered about the woman alligator, called Fluffy, through the Exeter Police Department which got the alligator from the landscaper that found her. The discovery was surprising as alligators and crocodiles aren’t generally discovered in Pennsylvania, according to the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.

They took the animal to their shelter, where a reptile professional from The Venom Institute analyzed the alligator and discovered that she was underweight and revealing indications of defect around her mouth, “most mostlikely triggered by being housed in an wrongly sized enclosure.”

Founder of the Venom Institute, Rudy Arceo informed CNN that Fluffy’s owner had kept her in a 75-gallon fishtank for practically 10 years, which was “shocking” since 10-year-old alligators are “supposed to be a lot larger than that.”
