LOS ANGELES – It goes down as a triumph for Ben Rothwell, however Saturday’s expected BKFC KnuckleMania 4 face-off with Todd Duffee wasn’t what he desired.
Rothwell (3-0) and fellow previous UFC heavyweight Duffee (0-1) came out shooting after the opening bell, with Rothwell knocking down Duffee twotimes in the veryfirst 0: 43 seconds of their bout at Peacock Theater. The 2nd time showed to be the surface as Duffee suffered an obvious best shoulder injury when he fell to the canvas. He instantly pointed to it, requiring referee Dan Miragliota to wave off the battle.
Rothwell, whom Duffee laid into verbally after he fell ill and pulled out of their initially setup bout last December, revealed his disappointment later.
