There’s no rejecting that there’s a dive in physicality from college basketball to the WNBA, and star novice Caitlin Clark is definitely discovering that.

Clark hasactually been the subject of a coupleof tough strikes — some legal, some not — throughout her veryfirst project with the Indiana Fever, triggering rather a bit of discourse amongst basketball fans.

The first-overall choice in the 2024 draft stated that her “Welcome to the WNBA” minute came in a videogame earlier this month on June 2 versus the New York Liberty, when she burst an ear drum after taking a tough screen.

Clark left that videogame and didn’t return, and though she didn’t go into information about her injury at the time, she stated it was “hard to hear,” according to The Indianapolis Star.

Caitlin Clark on her “Welcome to the W” minute:

“I infact burst my ear drum when we were in New York on a hard screen….great screens, I simply didn’t hear them. So, it’s kind of my own fault.”
