A single-engine airplane bring a pilot and one traveler crash-landed on California’s 91 Freeway after an engine breakdown, striking a truck and firingup into flames, according to authorities

The 2 individuals inside the airplane were unscathed, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The occurrence occurred on the highway 45 minutes east of downtown Los Angeles.

According to the Corona Fire Department, which quickly showedup on the scene, the airplane broke apart after clipping the truck and firedup on effect around 12: 30 p.m. Video video shared by the department revealed firemens rapidly put out the flames. Dashcam video video, obtained by USA TODAY, circulated on social media captured the minute when the little airplane weaved in inbetween automobiles to land.

The pilot, Andrew Cho, told Los Angeles tv station KTLA his training enabled him to land semi-successfully in traffic. 

“It felt like a difficult bump, hard to explain,” Cho informed the outlet. “We were 4 to 5 feet in the air when the airplane stalled totally and fell to the ground. Your training kicks in, and you do the right thing. As long as you wear’t panic, you get the finest result.”
