Daniel Cormier believes Colby Covington has overachieved in his MMA profession.

Covington (17-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) obstacles welterweight champ Leon Edwards (20-3 MMA, 12-2 UFC) in the UFC 296 headliner Dec. 16 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The primary card airs on pay-per-view listbelow prelims on ESPN2 and ESPN+.

Cormier, a previous two-division UFC champ and UFC Hall of Famer, doesn’t see any particular unique associates in previous interim champ Covington, which is why he’s impressed at the success he’s been able to have.
