City Kickboxing head coach Eugene Bareman believes the UFC is deliberately attempting to quick track Alex Pereira.
Pereira (6-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) cemented himself as the No. 1 competitor for a shot at UFC middleweight champ Israel Adesanya after knocking out Sean Strickland in the veryfirst round this past Saturday at UFC 276.
The win significant Pereira’s 3rd in the octagon, however duetothefactthat he holds 2 wins over Adesanya (23-1 MMA, 12-1 UFC) in kickboxing, the previous two-division Glory champ is currently getting a shot at gold. Bareman believes it’s too early however states the UFC won’t danger losing that match.
“They requirement to get Peireira to Israel as quick as they can,” Bareman informed Submission Radio. “Because undoubtedly Pereira has a lot of vulnerabilities, and if they wait too long, those vulnerabilities will get exposed, and then there’s no battle.
