Florida running backs coach chosen for Broyles Award

Florida’s running back space has regularly produced for the past 3 years under position coach Jabbar Juluke and now he’s being acknowledged as one of the country’s top assistants.

On Tuesday, Juluke was chose for the Broyles Award, which honors college football’s top assistant coaches. He’s one of 65 candidates in the class, picked out of roughly 1,500 coaches throughout 131 FBS programs.

“The Broyles Award choice procedure consistsof the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), broadcasters, a college football hall-of-fame choice committee, and present college head coaches,” according to the Frank and Barbara Broyles Foundation authorities site.

Two previous Florida coaches have complete as finalists for the award — defensive planner and protective line coach Dan Quinn in 2012 and broad receivers coach Dwayne Dixon in 2001.
