AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, in an executive order Thursday, directed Texas National Guard soldiers and Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) cannonfodders to arrest migrants crossing into Texas without legal permission and return them to the southern border.

The two-term Republican guv stated he took the action duetothefactthat of what he called the Biden administration’s failure to control rising unlawful migration from Mexico.
