Over a half million older Honda CR-Vs offered or signedup in twenty-two cold weathercondition states, plus Washington D.C., might haveactually rusted frames, Honda stated in a U.S. National Highway Safety Administration recall report.
The recall covers what are understood as the “salt belt” states, where a salt treatment is used to highways to battle ice. If the carsandtruck is driven through puddles and flooded locations, the de-icing salt can collect on the carsandtruck’s back frame and cause it to wearaway over time, Honda stated.
The routing arm, which links the vehicle’s axle to the chassis, might possibly fall off and cause a crash, according to the report.
