Undefeated light-weight Matsumoto (14-0) stepped into the cage for the veryfirst battle of Dana White’s Contender Series 62 to face Kasey Tanner. After a 15-minute thriller, UFC CEO Dana White wentinto the cage to welcome both fighters – something that has just occurred assoonas inthepast in the history of the program.
Matsumoto won the contest by consentaneous choice, and thinkingabout White’s response to the bout, didn’t have to concern the rest of the night to understand if he would win a UFC agreement too. White revealed his cards, and truly so for the unbelievable battle.
