Jon Jones states he’s ‘preparing to battle’ Stipe Miocic at UFC 282, notsure of ex-champ’s status

As far as Jon Jones is worried, he’s combating previous UFC heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic priorto the year is over – and he’s training appropriately.

Jones made that crystal clear Tuesday when he reacted to a fan’s concern on Twitter asking when he’ll return to the octagon.

“I’m preparing to battle Stipe December 10 in Las Vegas,” Jones tweeted. “Not truly sure what’s going on inbetween Stipe and the UFC however I’m allset to contend! I’m going to control what I can and stay in shape.”

UFC 282 takes location Dec. 10 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and presently is slated to be headlined by a light heavyweight title rematch inbetween champ Jiri Prochazka vs. Glover Teixeira. Miocic vs. Jones would figure to heading over that match if it came to fulfillment.
