Jorge Masvidal was not amazed with Khamzat Chimaev’s win over Kamaru Usman.

Chimaev (13-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) beat short-notice replacement Usman (20-4 MMA, 15-3 UFC) by bulk choice in their middleweight bout at UFC 294 last month. After a strong veryfirst round, Chimaev slowed down, which permitted Usman back in the battle.

Former UFC welterweight champ Usman stepped in on less than 2 weeks’ notification in a weight class above. Masvidal thinks, after that efficiency, Chimaev would battle versus the upper tier of the middleweight department.

“He hasn’t battled anyone at 185,” Masvidal informed MMA Mania. “I’m not attempting to diss him, however he’s not a ranked ’85 gamer. He’s a fantastic 170-pound fighter, however he’s not ranked at185 You put him in there with a lot of these guys (middleweights), I believe they’ll f*cking hurt him.”
