One of the finest things about the 2022 season for the New York Mets was, of course, closer Edwin Diaz coming into videogames to the sounds of Timmy Trumpet and Blasterjaxx’s Narco, with mascots Mr. and Mrs. Met “playing” along and fans going nuts. It instantly endedupbeing one of the all-time finest entryway tunes for closers.

But with the Mets havingahardtime to get anything going versus the San Diego Padres in Game 3 of their Wild Card series, Buck Showalter brought in Diaz to pitch in the 8th and stop the bleeding.
